Whitney Plantation encourages media outlets and visitors to use these approved images (above) of the buildings, grounds, memorials and collection objects as part of their coverage of the Museum. When using images, please be sure to credit photographer’s name, listed in the caption, anywhere the image is reproduced.

PHOTO SHOOTS

Members of the media may photograph or film within approved areas of the Museum for the purpose of news coverage. All organized photo shoots inside the Museum—for news coverage, school projects, tourism programs—require an escort by a member of the staff. Submit a request using the form above to schedule your visit to ensure a staff member is available. Unscheduled photo shoots that cannot be staffed will be declined. Commercial photographers not commissioned by The Whitney Plantation may not conduct photo or video shoots in the Museum without prior permission from staff. A fee will be charged for use of facilities and staff time.

RIGHTS AND REPRODUCTIONS

Photography is permitted for private use only. Photographs may not be published, sold, or otherwise distributed for commercial purposes. The Whitney Plantation reserves the right to withhold or withdraw permission to photograph on the premises. Staff has the authority to approach and verify the intent of photography and to enforce this policy.
